If you type Carole Nash into the search facility you will have loads to read from this site re insurance.

If you go back to CN and say you want a reduction or no business they do move!

Below from another thread.

yep, pritty much the same for most companies, the actual premium for you new bike is probably the same.
I was quoted £45 to add a stage 1 mod, the policy only had 3 weeks to run. Nedless to say I left bike locked up 'till renewall !

Re: insurance

just renewed mine last week. been with carole nash for a few years now and always found them ok, however touch wood i've never needed to make a claim.
my renewal came through the post and was quoted £294. went on their website and got a quote of £170. same details, same cover, phoned them up and they reduced it by another fiver. i think they all just pick a random(high)figure for the renewal and hope people are too busy/stupid to shop about. that's for a 2005 springer(and also have my bonneville on the policy)

Re: insurance

With regard to my post above re changeover, it's now 10 days later and I still have not received my certificate from Carole Nash. And that's after 2 follow up phone calls promising 1st class despatch that day.

Bloody hopeless....and I'd be even more pissed off if the new bike was sitting in the showroom waiting on this to be registered!

Re: insurance

Just renewed with Carole Nash, they sent me a renewal quote through the post for £401, so I checked their on line quote and low and behold its only £322, an £80 saving.

When I asked the guy at the call centre, he justified the difference as staff costs and then and processed the renewal for me at the lower rate !

It pays to hunt around for your insurance and don't pay the renewal price that automatically comes through the post. Bunch of feckers
