| Been discussed before.....
...so I apologise in advance...It was asked of me the other day,'what is the point in actually being a fully paid up member of the HDRCGB'..The questioner then went on to ask..if I dont renew..ie dont stump up my £30 what real difference will it make to me..ie..I can go to the clubs rallies for a couple quid more...this I had to agree..also if your not a 'rallier' then this rally discount wont bother you...also it was stated the 'Quinn' is virtually out of date as soon as it drops thru your letterbox..(even more so in Danthemans case ) and altho Il probably get shot down for this...this too I had to agree with.the final thing mentioned was this website (which in my opinion is the 2nd best thing about the club..the 1st being the really good friends Ive made since joining) but the gripe with the website was...I can just come on here as a guest..ask my questions, get my advice and all for free..no one is denied an answer because they are a 'guest'.apart from one small area of the site(members only) guests can go to/use any part. I had to agree with this too, the suggestion was, why not turn that percentage around...ie say 90% members only with 10% public to get new people interested/signed up.This would also stop the public seeing any spats/things put on here that the public wouldnt wanna see.I know some people will have some strong views on this..but remember folks....dont shoot the messenger.....

I am also in a club called the Two-Sixties, for owners of the said vehicle (MG). Without being an owner and joining there is very little on that site you can access. Certainly not the technical sections. And it seems to work pretty well. For that reason, and the fact that I was genuinely surprised when I first came on here at the amount of the site that was available, I would say yes to being a member before the majority of the site was viewable. I have had an enormous amount of help from this forum and it is true that I could still probably have benefitted from it without being a member, but far and away the best part of membership is the people you meet.

Got one of those! Thanks, I'll go and take a look. ![]() I did suggest recently that HDRCGB include a statement on this website of the aims and benefits of the Club and got the impression the idea was well received. That might help to resolve discussion like this.
