Jersey H-D advise of price rise in August

For anyone who shops at Jersey H-D, just received this email from them...


Hi

At Jersey Harley-Davidson we have always said that we would only
contact customers by email if there was some important news that we
felt was of real benefit to you.

Well unfortunately we have just been notified that the price of all
genuine H-D parts, accessories, and clothing will be increased by 10%
with effect from 16 August.
However we guarantee that any orders placed online at
VAT Free Harley Davidson Parts, Free P&P, Harley Davidson Jersey before midday 14th August will be honoured at the
current price, irrespective of delivery date.

LAST ORDERS AT THE OLD PRICE MUST BE PLACED NO LATER THAN
MIDDAY SATURDAY THE 14TH

We are also having a bit of a clear out in our stores - watch the site
for our new 'clearance' section (coming soon) where we will be offering selected
lines at greatly reduced prices.
Great opportunity to grab a real bargain.

I got a text from Stratstone telling me that they're raising prices too.

Considering they had to drop prices 15% in order to boost sales recently I can't see a 10% rise across the board doing any dealer any favours.

Unfortunately it is an 'across the board' rise - the cost of the parts to the dealers is going up and this will be reflected in increased prices. It is possible that some dealers will absorb the price rise but this is unlikely.
