Add the customs charges....gives a cost of £7761 plus SVA and registration...HHHmmmmm
have you added vat and duty which are charged on not only the purchase price but also the freight and insurance costs to land in this country

given evo glides can be bought for well under £8000 over here I would be looking locally

Re: Looking for an Evo Glide

Yep, added in a 30% premium for import costs against purchase and shipping.

What I want is a Road King Police, it gets the black/chrome motor, higher gearing and uprated suspension.

That said I'd fit a batwing to it, so am also looking at the glides, but not Ultra's.

All that seems to be available here is tatty or an Ultra.

Re: Looking for an Evo Glide

Had a think about this over night, what I like is the Street Glide.

I have 10K to spend, so could buy a SG.

But....the money I'm spending is our emmigration savings (thats been delayed for 12 months or so) so I want to get something at the bottom of its money so I don't loose too much in depreciation.

Looking at the Evo glides for the 6 or 7K mark, they have been that price for a couple of years now, as long as they are looked after they're gonna keep 95% of their value.

To achieve the SG looks on the Evo era bikes you are looking at the Police edition bikes. There's not too many here so import seems a viable option, my only reservation is the resale in a year or so's time.

Looks like you have a conflict of interests there! By the time you sort out a bike it could well be time to advertise it....

....and second-hand bikes always need something spent on them!

Re: Looking for an Evo Glide

Still looking...

Thanks for those that have PM'd me stuff.

I've decided an Ultra is too heavy for what I want and some of the RK's have been fancied up too much for my liking.

I just missed out on a 97 RK that was perfect, but the Dutch beat me too it.

Bugger.
