Looking for an Evo Glide

Knowing that often there are bikes for sale that don't appear on Ebay or Autotrader I thought I'd put the feelers out here.

I'm looking for a 1993-1998 Glide or Road King.

If you know of one going, drop me a message.

How about this from the classified section.

Doesn't say what year though.

Re: Looking for an Evo Glide

I've seen it, no disrespect to the owner, but a little bit too much tidying.

With the way the market is and the condition/aesthetics of many of the evo's I've seen pics of, I'm looking into importing a Police Glide from the US, cost neutral it would appear.

Re: Looking for an Evo Glide

Got a shipping quote of $1395.

That onto a bike price of say $8000.

Add the customs charges....gives a cost of Ł7761 plus SVA and registration...HHHmmmmm

You don't need SVA if it's near original, our Vintage secretary can issue a dating certificate

Hmm indeed! I am busy shopping for bits for my bike in the States at present, because I can't find what I want here in the UK. However I would draw the line at an unseen bike!

That one is described as a RK, although it looks very much like my FLHS. There are bits missing, such as driving lamps, front fender lamp lens and lower trim. What else? Being an electrical ignoramous and thinking of the kit that has been stripped off a Police model I would steer clear. Its photo setting says enough!

Added later:

I suppose a test is: would I travel to the USA to view this bike?

Re: Looking for an Evo Glide

Those are just examples of prettier things than Baza spotted.

I'm looking at better.
