Re: Belstaff jacket cleaning & rewaxing

Always do the following

• After wearing always hang up in a warm airy place.

• Brush off dirt and grit, sponging down with cold water only (do not use soap or detergent).

• Rewax the garment as required with (02810)British Motorcycle Gear wax reproofing spray.

• The internal lining only can be freshened by sponging gently with cold water and soap. Squeeze out the sponge thoroughly before applying to avoid wetting the wax.
If more professional cleaning is required the garment can be dry-cleaned and re-waxed by cleaners that offer a wax cleaning service (Sketchley Cleaners offer this service).

Spray sounds a bit feeble. Get a tin of wax from a huntin shootin fishin shop. Slap a generous layer over every outside inch of the jacket paying particular attention to seams and the pocket you keep your money in. Put Jacket on a hanger then use a hair dryer to melt the slop and give a nice finish. Wipe excess wax off on wife's favorite soft furnishings.
Barbour do a refinishing service.

I don't know about your, but mine is ferked, covered in mould and living in a plastic bag in the garage.

We have a Barbour factory right next to us, I was thinking of taking it down there, but its so bad I am a bit embarrassed to take it to them in case they shoot me
