Re: Old Classic

red was always a factory option, you do see them occasionally but whether original, who knows. Lovely looking thing, though.

the suspension is not like a Soft Tail. It is essentially similar to the modern 'cantilever' system and used the engine/gearbox unit as a stressed frame member. The spring and damper unit is in compression, in the conventional way

Re: Old Classic

There's a red one turns up at our Classic Gathering most years, and it looks original. Fast too.

Black!
there appear to be a lot more red ones now than previously since it has become common knowledge that they came in colours other than black

Re: Old Classic

Vincents were normally finished in black, this one is Chinese red, which makes it very striking. The Red Vincents were shipped to California, and Canada.

Another colour "Egyptian Blue", an even rarer colour. Apparently only a couple of the blue ones were produced.
