Just spotted this piece of club history for sale on Ebay.

Rare Harley Davidson 1958 Easter Rally Flag &Badge on eBay (end time 10-Nov-09 11:50:29 GMT)

Perhaps someone in the club should put in a bid for it.
So it can be put into the clubs Archive.

We ought to have enough stuff to start one, and that's not including some of the members!

On a more serious note; if any member really wants to get involved in writing a history of HDRCGB he (or she) would have my full support, and I'm sure the support of the committee as well. It's a job that's needed doing for some time, one of these days it will be too late.

Hi.

What would be good would if we can see a list of what the club archive contains.

Then if any member has anything of club history they don't want they could donate it to the archive.

These could be; old membership cards, old photos (or copies if they want to keep the originals),
old Harleyquins, rally posters/flyers, club and rally badges/patches, etc.

Anything that can shed light on the clubs history.

There must be stuff members have that doesn't see the light of day, that's been packed away in
boxes and forgotten about.

By the time Paul gets around to digging out his Tshirt of that particular event, , that will be sold.

I suggest that a senior club member, after a few phone calls, or maybe even a senior committee member, just places a killer bid and ensure that is kept in the club.

Think fast and logically. Who would argue with that expense??
