Anybody know if ANPR cameras pick up vehicles with lapsed MOTs?

MOT's are kept on a different database to Insurance and Tax. Some Forces have a link to the MOT database through ANPR some don't

What ......................do you mean if hypothetically someone had cloned your registration plate (of your vehicle with a lapsed MOT because its in storage) and it had pinged an ANPR.

Would you be traced and asked about the MOT?

I was told the super duper new MoT they've introduced meant the ANPR now did check it????

Sadly I think Hilts is more than likely on course with this, could you imagine THEM missing such a chance...

If the "they" (the Police?) you are referring to have another method of detecting illegal (in this case un-roadworthy by definition) vehicles being used on the roads then good.

If the vehicle is in good enough condition to pass an MOT then take it to a centre and have it tested - no more problem.
