Re: RFL...which bit.....

Well, rode up to South Mimms in the pishing rain and met up with baza and co just in time to see Sharkie come in from peterboro with the baton, then rode back down here to Amesbury, again in the pishing rain , by the time I got there I had decided that perhaps Exeter was a Bridge too far and so called it a day (me nads are still drying out) and said farewell to the West Country guys as they hauled oof to Exeter - only then to see the sun come out!!!
Hope you had a good spin lads and see you soon for the West Country (South) monthly meet...whenever we decide on a day to have it.
Hope the ride back was OK....let us know here....

Re: RFL...which bit.....

Much precipitation around Amesbury but by the time we got into God's own country (Somerset) it was dry and the second half of the ride was mostly sunny. The wind was a bitch though, one big gust actualy blew my foot clean off the footboard (nothing to do with Mrs R's excellent curry on Saturday night )
The ride back was mostly dry and sunny, just 2 drizzly showers which didn't last long.
We had a real Fred Karno incident when we lost Phil and Karen at a roundabout. At one point Mike and I were heading north on the dual carriageway while Ray passed us going south. A bit later Ray and I were going south and passed first Phil and Karen and then a bit later Mike both going north. Hey ho !
A grand day out and of course the water was not a problem, after all we are the Floaters

Re: RFL...which bit.....

Had a brilliant day out, proving the sun truely shines on the righteous.

One top tip for everyone :-

NEVER EVER, NEVER EVER adjust your handlebr controls in the middle of a ride out.

I managed to pinch the right indicator wire with the master cylinder clamp and shorted out the circuit breaker each time I indicated right!!!

Took three "shorts" before I found the problem by which time you were already tucking into Sunday dinner I expect.

Still, mustn't grumble......
