Looking to do something else this year. We travelled to Turkey through Greece a few years back (before the new trans Greece motorway) and really enjoyed it. The road is a lot better now; sections of it were no better than dirt tracks and Ultra Glides don't make good dirt bikes

We have been invited to a wedding early June at a place called THASSALONIKI, that's in the North not too far from the Macedonian boarder, in Therme Bay.

I wanted to ride down but it looks like a fair old way to do over a few days. so it looks like we are going to fly as time is short, but I really would like to ride. I've done Italy a couple of times and it ain't much further.

What do you recon?

Thassaloniki (Salonica) isn't that far from Igoumenitsa (ferry port on the Ionian Sea).

If you caught the overnight ferry from Venice to Igoumenitsa and then followed the "new" road it wouldn't take too long. We did Istanbul and back in two weeks without busting a gut.

We are catching an evening ferry to Dunkerque on the 24th May and travelling to the rally on the Friday morning.

Our return is booked for the Tuesday morning following the rally.
