Re: xmas bash

Hi Boys and Girls

I have just received the following from Noddy about the Christmas DO in Bristol. It's very short notice but then again we didn't think to ask earlier either.

It's being held at The Chequers Inn, Hanham Mills, Bristol on Sat 16 Dec 06 to eat at 7:30pm.

Starters
Deep Fried Brie served with a red onion and tomato jam and salad Roses of smoked salmon served with brown and butter

Homemade parsnip & honey soup served a crusty baguette Venison & Cranberry pate served with toast and salad

Main Courses Served with Roast Potatoes , Seasonal Vegetables & Gravy

Traditional roast turkey - with pigs in blankets, sage & onion stuffing & yorkshire pudding

Salmon supreme - in a ginger & dijon mustard glaze served with salad

Steak a la café de Paris - 8oz rump steak in an orange & shallot scented cream served with mushrooms & grilled tomato

Swiss mushroom rosti - a rosti potato infused with herbed mushrooms served with salad White stilton & mushroom tart - served with a crisp salad

Desserts

Christmas pudding Hot mince pies

Chocolate fudge cake

Choice of ice cream

Homemade fruit pavlova

Coffee & Mints

Cost £23 per head
Payment required by Friday 08 Dec 06 along with menu choices Cheques payable to HDRCGB West Country Send to: County Fencing Ltd, Brookleaze, Keynsham, Bristol, BS31 2AL
Sian says that the money must be with her for this Saturday latest.

Now you all know as much as me.

We won't be going as we have already been invited to a Gold Wing club do (much more food to eat) on the same day - and no, Frustrated of Warminister, you can't come with us.

Re: xmas bash

well I'm in kent and dont have my cheque book with me, furtermore if I did I couldnt get a cheque to Bristol by tomorrow.

Oh well there is always next year,

I find it a bit odd that every month one of us from the non Bristol area get to the Chequers, and nothing has been said about christmas, its probably because for the last few monts only are Pan Head and a couple of others attend the monthly meet.

I got to go over to see me old Dad at the nursing home in Bognor Regis on the 16th so I may not get to Bristol, but if I can I will turn up for a drink.

thanks Phill for sorting out the info.

Re: xmas bash

Hi guys.

Sorry about this balls up, I wrongly assumed that every one would have known about the 16th from the people that were at the 'Chequers' on meeting nights.

Words will be had.....

I hope some of you will be able to make it on the night.

Re: xmas bash

Looks like I won't be able to make the meal, but might try to get up to show face and have a drink.
Anyone want to share a lift?
