Talking Ever had Unlikely Fun?

Hi,
As today was a proper shocker, weather wise, I decided, although I had nowhere to go, to Just "Go for a Ride"
You may think it a bit mad with the Cold, drizzly 'orrible rain, and Half a gale blowing, but, I have not spent all that Money on Leathers and "Proper" gloves and inners and all that, so decked out and ready, I did the pre-flight checks on my '97 XL1200C, thought about the acre of stock Chrome and the Half a ton of added Bling that was just about to get Sh*t on and got comfy, settled
into the beat & set off.
Langford was bad enough, recent floods had left piles of debris, Mud and oddly piled gravel everywhere, but a little care and a little less speed had me heading for Burrington Coombe, up through the cliffs in Peace, Perfect peace( Apart from my naughty Pipes) The natural path then is down into Cheddar through the Gorge and out and then to pick a route home.
What is remarkable about this 25mile ride?
I was totally alone ! Nothing behind, and nothing in front for the whole ride!
I could pick my lines through all the hazards at my own pace, Potter along as I pleased and a side effect of adding more and more Chrome and Bits & Bobs
is the added weight, I won't be winning any Drag races, but my, is my bike stable in Evil side winds.
All in all Today was one of the most enjoyable Rides I have ever Had and getting back and changing clothes, having a Roast Pork Din-Dins and now a few Glasses of Stan Thatchers finest are going to turn this Miserable Day into
a Cracker.
Anyone else ever had a Silk Purse day from a sow's Ear?

Ride Safe and Free
