Devon John,
Well I'm sure the lads read this thread but as yet no one has said they're coming so I may well be on my own! most of our region live towards the other coast so they may well do something in the last couple of days.
See you at Riders in Bridgewater!

Re: Sally's ride around britain

I had a call this morning from Sally just to warn you to expect a delay due to the foul weather they've woken up to!! She said that knowing that there are people waiting is just a great morale booster on a day like today.

all the best guys and don't forget to get some pictures, especially if it chucking it by the bucketload.

Re: Sally's ride around britain

A lone rider crossed the Severn bridge to meet up with Sally, Richard & Tom at Magor services on the M4 & rode with them to Riders in Bridgewater we then met up with the Devon lads who had riden UP from Devon to ride with Sally & co down to Bude, I rode with them down as far as Barnstable via Minehead & Lynton and Lynmouth then when they turned right I turned left to start a lonely ride back up to Bristol, by the time I got home I had clocked up 234 miles of which I suppose 130 were done in the rain! It was a great ride for a good cause & with some good people, It's a bit of a shame that no one else from this region joined me.

I may try to get down to meet up between Weymouth & Brighton tomorrow.

Warbird, you should come to the monthly meetings and mention Sally's Ride.
maybe you would have got some support, remember not everybody looks at this Forum.

Re: Sally's ride around britain

Yes, I suppose I should really, Sorry I missed a month. There are also a few that come on here who also go to the meetings who could also have brought it up, still never mind.

I am however going down to Wareham to meet up with the others in the morning & it would be great to meet up with a few folk along the way, I'm leaving Bristol at around 07.00 for a steady cruise down there to meet up between Wool & Wareham on the A352 for around 09.30 ish I will then motor on down to Brighton for the finish!
Cheers.............

(my phone will be on my bluetooth tomtom 07792 986417 I'll see a call then stop & phone back)

Re: Sally's ride around britain

Hi, this is my 1st post on the forum (I will do a newbie intro later), however I have been monitoring Sally's progress on other forums and this one. I only joined yesterday (and paid for membership BaZa), and would like to ride on this final leg to Brighton.

Have to check logistics but all being well, will try to make it to Weymouth for the start, or if not join along the route.

I'm on a Blue/Black Road King Classic.

Hope to see some of you tomorrow.
