Re: Sally's ride around britain

Geoff/FLHRC#2 to Geoff/FLHRC#1 (are there others out there ?)

If I get the pass-out, coming down from Basingstoke. Plan is to get into Weymouth for 8:30'ish and be there for the day start. If I'm late will pick up the convoy somewhere on route.

I know Tom (one of the full route riders) from the Honda CBF1000 forum, although we have never met in person, so it would be good to meet up with him before the actual riding. Well, thats the current plan anyway.

Thats my report,,, Old-mo

This is Sally writing now...
Hi You All, Mo's given me a glass or two of wine so you'll have to excuse the spelling mistakes!
Richard, Tom and I have had the most amazing two weeks, we have met quite a lot of you now, it's great putting names to faces that we've been e.mailing before the trip.
I'm without words (and that's a first!) for how I feel about you all, you've all looked after us proud, without your support this ride would have been so very different, we've felt truly nurtured, oh God, I must be drunk I don't usually use words like that!
Thank you all so much for your kind donations, it will help towards saving someone else's life. Hurstwood Park Neurological Hospital will be so pleased.
Mo has looked after us so well, we had a fab meal and a nice long shower, always very welcome after a day in the saddle.
Hope some of you can make it down to Brighton tomorrow, would be great to see you.
Definately going to the farm party, so will see you all there. Don't know what Mikes been up to, Mo told me he's broken some ribs!!!
Loads of Love Sally, X Richard X and TomX

Re: Sally's ride around britain

Hi Mo, Hope your back is improving, good to see you yesterday,
It ended up with Geoff (Ulysses) & I going the whole way from Weymouth to Brighton with Sally, Richard & Tom (don't know what happend to Portland Bill)
the other bikes dissapered during the ride, There was a cock up of Biblical proportions at DG40 as we had a call to go there (after we had gone past the turn off!) only to find when we got there no one knew anything about it!! so we turned round & carried on to Brighton. It was good to be met by BNM, Kim & co from The Sussex Coasters (& I got to meet Wormy!) & that was that really, Mike & Kim offered me a bed for the night before the long ride back to Bristol.(It was wonderfull thanks guys, I gotta come back for the farm party!)
Thanks to Devon John, Old Mo & Ulysses for the company during the ride & all the other folk who made the effort to come out to support Sally & co during their ride in sometimes not the best of weather.
Bugger, never did get in any of the photo's!

Hi Warbird,

We've got you! At Bridgewater and the Services at the English side of the Severn Bridge. If you send me your e.mail address I'll send you the photos.

Thanks so much for riding so many miles with us, it really and truly does make a difference.

I'll always remember you.

Loads of love
Sally
PS Definately see you at the farm party, can't wait.

Sorry we couldn't make it, sometimes we have to work during the day having a total 9 - 5 job.
