Re: Hoggies

Although on some occasions it is ok to wave or acknowledge other riders, unfortunately on a number of situations it isn't.
Hacking down the motorway/ dual carriageway, not evryone has the confidence to take one hand off the handle bars.
Driving through town, people crosing roads, car doors opening, I know where my concentration is!
Travelling down the A & B roads of our fair country, apart from looking out for the dangers of car drivers, there is so much going on to keep someone focussed onthe road ahead or on their mirrors and what's coming up behind.
Yes there are occassions to say hello to your fellow biker and obviously at the filling station is one of those, but on the road, I dunno, in a lot of cases there is enough to keep the rider occupied.
IMHO

Re: Hoggies

Well A bunch of what I assume were Hog riders came past me (as in from th e other direction) on Sunday - I assume it was as the lead biker had a high-viz jacket on (cough as mention earlier) - however just about ever single one waved! Fair nuff!

Gotta be said I always wave at everyone on two wheels (even the boys in blue - which sometimes takes 'em by surprise).

As said earlier in the thread just drive past and say merchant banker - they don't know what they are missing!

Getting close to flashin me cash so don't put me off......

Re: Hoggies

I wave at all other bikes if it's safe to do so. If they wave back great! If not? So what? I mentally file them in my 'twat' box!

I have a huge HOG 'Savannah Chapter' on my jacket as well as 9 other small ones from around the states, souvenirs collected from a holiday in the USA...............that oughta fool 'em!

Re: Hoggies

Last Sunday went to two dealers - Chester and Wolverhampton - and ran into both Deva Legion and Wolfruna members. Individuals from both chapters came over to have a look at my bike and make conversation. In my short experience - no concerns !

Best post on this thread so far

Gotta say though, I couldn't give a toss whether someone waves at me or not, I go out for a ride to enjoy my bike, not to get the "warm 'n' fuzzies".

Wave, don't wave, it's up to you, but who really gives a toss?

Re: Hoggies

I believe HOG applied to become a member of FHC recently, Im not sure wether they were accepted.

Ive been to a couple of their rally which can be a bit of a laugh.

A good source of low milage bikes too.

I think you will find Chris that a lot of our members are also HOG members or ex HOG, and they have been brainwashed to wear as many badges as they can and not to wave to lesser mortals.
