| Hoggies
At the weekend me and Ray stopped for petrol at one of our local garages. We were followed in by a convoy from the Bridgwater Hog Chapter. There were about 25 bikes there, quite a few with pillions. So how many of these Hoggies said hello, nodded, waved, smiled or acknowledged our presence in any other way ? And the answer is.......... zilch, ningunos, bugger all. ![]() ![]() ![]() Not even the hi-viz orange road captain who walked between the pumps and was within a meter or so of us. Feck'm all I say. May their shiny bits all turn to rust. ![]() ![]()

Haha, encountered the same thing a while back, thought it was just me being `invisable` or was it because I was on a sportster, I did say `Hi` and he looked straight through me, I couldnt stop myself from laughing because he had this little guy following him everywhere he went, he even opened the door for the almighty road captain... funny to watch.

Funny that.........At the weekend was on a blast-out with some good buddies of mine from Bridgwater, as we neared Frome (dispite being warned about Frome Locals) we pulled in to fuel up... ![]() Suddenley two surley, nastey looking locals started frantically waving, as we could only at best, discribed as "oddley" at us........ ![]() Recounting our previous warnings.......we quickly jumped back on our machines and rode out and as far away from "Frome" and its oddley waving locals as fast as possable ![]() You have been warned

Sounds about right, found the same attitude in Scotland. North East of England seems to be a bit more down to earth though.

When we had our first Harley,my ol' lady and I went into Riders,Bridgwater to try and socialise with some FELLOW H-D owners.Needless to say,we were rather dismayed and disappointed at the frosty reception we got. Is it just Bridgwater H.O.G. or is there a nationwide rule not to talk to anyone on a Harley if you in any way resemble a genuine biker e.g. long hair, greasy jeans/leathers,or heaven forbid A BEARD!!!? LOL |

There's been a fair bit of HOGgie bashing going on lately (see other posts on the forum) and it gets a bit Tedious after a while. If they - (HOGgie, or any other bike rider) - don't acknowledge you then they've lost a possible friendship. You've lost nothing, so smile, mutter "Tosser" under you're breath - or out loud if you're that way inclined, and focus on the next bend. ![]() Saw loads of bikes on the run from Newcastle to Inverness Sunday. Most were OK, a few were "Tossers", but it didn't stop me enjoying the run. Basically we HDRCGB bikers have a better view from our machines than those people - as our heads are on top of our shoulders, not up our Ar*es.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: Hoggies
Can anyone give any sensible suggestion as to why some riders totaly ignore others? Is it a superiority thing looking down their noses at lesser mortals? It's not just us Sporty-ites that get this treatment. Perhaps worth a thread in it's own right.
