street glide-newport

went to see 2005 SG today, 30K on the clock, described on the phone as 'you wouldn't know it had done that sort of mileage'.

except for the these i suppose.

On the second photo you can just make out the bubbling by the lights, the last two are thge front motor mount, devoid of paint, which was very similar to the swingarm.

Not for me at the moment, what a waste of 4 hours.

Re: street glide-newport

I would like the Evo, but don't want an Ultra, or a dog ugly Sport.

I have seen few Evo's here that I like and as it may only be for a year or so don't want to take on a re-modeling.

I really like SG's, so one at the right price was attractive, I just don't fancy the full strip and repaint on it.

I'm having one of those 'I'll never find anything I like!!!' moments.

That said did find a nice 98 electraglide in Bridlington at Rojo's, photo's look great but it would appear to be a first year TC88, upped to 95'.

Regrettably John, that's H-D paint for you, whatever the description.

My 2005 XL1200R is no better in that respect and that has only 11K on the clock.

Re: street glide-newport

I think you did the right thing, from the piccys the Cost v Condition doesn't add up.

Sorry I was't iwhere I should have been on Sunday.

Something will turn up, have you thought about dropping a Wanted add in the members classifieds or a post in the Touring section?
