I'm gonna try to make it up to the MAG do. Might see ya there if you haven't gone down to the flat track.

The MAG bike show seemed to have a good showing. I didn't see Pockets bike anywhere but I didn't get there until about 12:45. Had to dodge the rain here and there but was a good time.

Well - here's the confession:-

I set off on the Ducati - having seen the sh*te weather forecast for Darlington and not wanting the Harley to get minging again - & called in at the cricket club I had been invited to attend at 11.30 for lunch (our firm had sponsored their centenary and my son plays for them).

Serves me right - they didn't recognise me in my leather jacket (well obviously my son did but not the organisers) & I didn't get any lunch - BUT - there was a 1200 Bandit and Fazer 1000 going for a circuitous ride to Squires so I tagged along & had a great ride with only a few showers of rain to the question "how did you keep up you're only on a 700?".

I must admit I got home and read Travis & HRH's postings and felt I had been unfaithful (not that I would know what that feels like) to my lovely Sportster.

I hope to make it up this weekend with a ride to the Shipley rally.

Crap weather forecast puts me off the ride to Cornwall and I can get to Shipley in less than an hour.

Makes me realise I've turned into a fair weather biker in my old age

It's a bit like when I look in the mirror and see my grandma
