Recommend a chromer?

Anyone know of a good chromer in or close to Yorkshire?

I can tell you where NOT to go .. Quality Chrome in Hull. I had primary, cam, transmission and rocker covers done there & every cover without exception started to peel within a couple of months. I took them all back & told them what I thought. The guy wouldnt refund my money, but he dechromed them & polished them up for free, which I thought was the least he could do. His side of the story was that Harley aluminium is crap.

again, where NOT to go. i took a scabby chrome oiltank to SILCHROME in leeds to have it dechromed and powder coated. the finished article looked like the chrome had been taken off with a grinder (deep score marks), the bloke said sometimes that happens if its left in the process too long. so incompetentce then?. the powder coating looked like crinkle finish hammerite. needless to say im on the lookout for a replacement tank.

Chromium, Copper, Nickel, Metal Polishing, Restoration of Vintage Car Parts & Antiques. I havent got round to contacting him about what I want, but you could call him or contact HOGDOC to see what he says about him. It also depends on how far away Heywood is to you.

Thanks for all the suggestions, just need to put my hand in my pocket now. Interesting that Quality Chrome in Hull have got bad reviews, I asked them for some quotes, and they refused to quote for my primary, said they don't do them anymore as "they're a pain".
