I don’t know whether you’ve met Sue (Wig Job) from St Leger, but she’s a real character. She bought her 1st bike, an 883 Sportster in October 2003, and rode with us through the following winter and ever since. She’s ridden through Europe and to Sturgis on her own bike, and through South Africa on a hired Sportster. She then bought a Low Rider, which she rode to Fuengirola this year, where she fell off outside the hotel on a diesel spill. She had an operation on her knee to try to correct the resulting injury about two weeks ago, but being Sue, today she decided to try riding her Sportster again. Unfortunately, she ran out of petrol near Pastures Lodge, Mexborough, but managed to get a lift to the nearest petrol station. When she got a taxi back to her bike it had gone! The bike was very distinctively airbrushed (I’ll try to attach a photo), and when she won a place in the final of the Sportster competition at Faaker See in 2005, she had lots of chroming done on the casings etc which is quite unusual for a Sportster of that year. The back wheel was also distinctively painted. If you are approached to buy parts, or see an advert for parts, which could possibly be from Sue’s bike, please ring her on 01302 780871. Please help us to try to catch the b******s who did this. Thanks, Lynda (Pocket)

Re: Sue (Wig Job)'s bike stolen! Sue's now remembered that her whole bike was data tagged, so if you are offered any suspect parts, it shouldn't be too difficult to find out whether they're from her bike. Please ring her if you think you can help her to get it back, on 01302 780871. Lynda Last edited by Lynda; 27-10-2007 at 03:38 PM.

Re: Sue (Wig Job)'s bike stolen! Thanks everybody! It's good to know that Harley owners stick together when it's really needed! Lynda (Pocket) PS: Warning note: On the way back from Faaker See this year we were involved in a fatal collision, where an oncoming car driver overtook oncoming vehicles, and wiped out the biker in front of us. Duncan was lucky (or had superb riding skills) and missed it - but as I was behind the biker and saw nothing (except a massive explosion) I was knocked off my bike & sustained a broken arm, ligament damage, cuts & bruises etc. The police kept my bike for 4 weeks, as it had been involved in a fatal accident. and I've only recently found out that not only did the insurance assessor disallow some of the claim (after 38 years of insurance assessing he found it hard to believe that the damage to my bike had been caused by "riding over debris"), he also reported that it was fitted with Nitrous Oxide - which in his opinion invalidated my insurance! Luckily, there's no doubt that the car driver was at fault, and I'll probably be able to claim under uninsured losses - but NOS fans beware, and check you're covered just in case! Lynda

Re: Sue (Wig Job)'s bike stolen! Unfortunately all insurance company’s are looking for any reason not to pay out any claim, I ring and report all changes to my bike you must do it, I don’t know if you are aware but even if you have European cover included in your insurance you must inform them each time you travel aboard, otherwise they’ll have just cause not to meet any claim, Ukkid76
