Great run on the Monday, crossed the Humber Bridge, B1248(No sign of TV cop!), Wetwang Fish & Chips, huge portions! Started to rain at Pickering, half way across A169, horizontal hail stones!! Made the mistake of trusting the sat nav across the moors B-C roads made for an interesting journeys end in the wet!
We stayed at the Board Inn at Leaholme, well recommended, Alistair & Karen made us extremely welcome, even lit a fire in the bar to dry out our clothes!! Meals great, breakfast has to be seen to be believed!!
Tuesday we did the round the moors ride, Stokesley, Helmsley, Pickering ending at Whitby in glorious sunshine. Met some great bikers, but no Harleys?
Wednesday we headed off across the dales to the Lakes, with some great riding memories of Yorkshire. |
