A nice route centered on York anyone?

Maggar and I met up at the Highwayman Cafe layby and then had a really good ride up to Helmsley. Nice sunshine and generally gentle curves... what a ride.

We chilled in Helsley at the square where Maggar sucked on a coffin nail and we met a dude with a nice looking Dyna Glide. Poor guy had a quarrel with a wasp while riding and although the wasp probably lost, the dude had a *very* fat lip hehe.

Thanks Maggar. That was a good cruise and it was good to meet you.

Sounds like a good ride out, shame its poured down since friday, hopefully meet up for ride through to Skidby for about 8pm monday night, leave york about 7.15pm......York Road garage, Wilberfoss on 1079!

Yep, good ride on Friday night. Through Castle Howard estate and Hovingham over the tops to Helmsley then back down to York via Byland Abbey, Crayke, Stillington.
Nice to meet Charles. We'll do it again when the weather breaks.

Hi Ross, long time no see. We should try to get a few evening rides sorted in the next few weeks - make the most of this beautiful summer weather and all that!

There's a few of us around York - you, Aginghippy (Charles) and Swinny (Neil), and Naxos (Iain) and me near Howden. I'm sure Chromer (Pete) would join us from Leeds - he's a big York fan!

Keep an eye on the weather and next decent evening we could get out somewhere.
