Bugger! I've been busy all day up to 3.30pm - off for a ride around 5pm ish.

Hope you had a good ride earlier.

Re: A nice route centered on York anyone?

A pity you couldn't come - we had a belting day. Met in York then to Fridaythorpe for a cuppa and bacon butty, then via Grimston to Malton, to Pickering and Whitby over the moors. Back to Malton then York via Buttercrambe. Weather still cracking so we went to Squires to finish the afternoon. All in the sun except over the moors.

I think Chas enjoyed the day. Must have seen about 20 Harleys in Whitby in three or four little groups.

At Squires we Met a bloke with the biggest chopper I've ever seen in real life, i.e. outside a custom show - Mustang Sally - have you seen it? It's a chopped Softail Heritage with a 250 back end, a 9" extended frame and about 12" over forks, massive silver and black tribal painted tank with a one-off triple air filter like a hydra filling the gap between the front rocker box and the head stock.

I know Mustang Sally - built by Stez at Polar Cycles, the owners name is Shaun, lives somewhere in your region.

He most certainly did

A really good day out with some really nice weather. - except for a dark cloud over the moors with some really cold air underneath it.

Thanks for that Dexter. Sure we will do something like it again. My lady is due to come up this week, and will be around probably till I pack up and return to London in 4 weeks or so. Would really like to get a bunch more rides in, and she will be joining us.
