Question A nice route centered on York anyone?

Hello All

Seems a lovely evening, so may go for another spin on the sporty.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a nice route starting from and returning to York? Just an hour or two... I was thinking heading North perhaps...

Thanks

Hey Neil

Might just do that.

Had a nice ride this afternoon... very chilled ride to the north of York this evening. Some small winding roads and then stopped at a pub in a village about 6 miles from York and enjoyed a nice pint of Theakstons Best Bitter.. yum

No chance to chill on m own though. A few of the patrons came out and admired the shiny, with plenty of nice comments and I am sure some envy Even had a chick give me a big thumbs up while riding through the village. Shame she was jailbait though

My first experiance of the 'respect'? a Harley brings

Hey Neil (and anyone else)

You up for a spin this evening (friday)? Bear in mind I will probably be crawling around corners and the like as I am still learning my bike (it is now day 3 of ownership)

I will monitor this thread this afternoon, and will try email you as well.

Cheers

Re: A nice route centered on York anyone?

I have time for a short (couple of hours ride) tonight if you fancy it. I could take you up to Helmsley on the back lanes and return via Byland Abbey, Stillington etc. into York.

I could be into York by approx 6.45pm

I've PM'd my mobile number - let me know if you want to do it by 6pm

(Neil I'm about 10 minutes from you down the back lanes)

Hey Maggar

That would be fun.

Where would you like to meet up? I was planning on leaving a little earlier, but then again, I will put another hour or so of work in. (I am about 4 hours behind this week!!)

Wohooo - looking foreward to a spin

PM'd you my phone number as well. Lets try organise here, but if it gets a little late, I will call you. That way others that wish to crash the party can.
