'full Throttle' Shop Owner Done A Bunk!

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 'FULL THROTTLE' OWNER AT RAWDON, LEEDS WEST YORKSHIRE?


TO THOSE OF YOU WHO KNOW OF JUNE AND DALE (YORKSHIRE REGION)THEY HAVE BEEN PREPARING TO RETIRE / LIVE IN SPAIN.

JUNE LEFT HER BIKE WITH 'FULL THROTTLE' SHOP OWNER WHEN HE SAID HE HAD A BUYER, HE ASKED FOR DOCUMENTS BUT IT DIDN’T SELL THAT TIME BUT SAID TO LEAVE IT WITH HIM AS HE HAD ANOTHER POTENTIAL.BUYER. SHE LEFT HIM WITH BIKE DISPLAYED IN THE SHOP. HE WAS TO CONTACT JUNES DAUGHER WITH UPDATES ETC.

THE NEXT THING SHE KNEW, A DVLC CHANGE OF OWNERSHIP DOCUMENT LANDED ON HER DOORMAT AND THEN DISCOVERED THE SHOP WAS CLOSED DOWN AND THE OWNER UNTRACEABLE .

HER INSURANCE CANT HELP AND POLICE WANT HER TO GATHER AS MUCH INFO AS POSSIBLE TO TRACK THIS MAN DOWN. HE HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH THE BATHROOM SHOP NEXT TO HIS BIKESHOP AND THAT WAS CLOSED DOWN TOO WHEN HE APPARENTLY DISAPPEARED.

ANY INFO AT ALL MIGHT BE USEFUL. HER ONLY OTHER OPTION IS TO HIRE A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR.

THANKS ON BEHALF OF JUNE, WHO IS BACK HERE IN ENGLAND TRYING TO SORT THINGS OUT.

Haven't heard anything I'm afraid.

One potential avenue, though if the owner has done a bunk, pretty slim.
Get the Police, (yes, you have to tell them to do this!), to contact the services providers, e.g. Electricity, Phone, Leeds City Council to see if they have a forwarding address. It has to be done sooner rather than later. If you leave it any longer all assets will have been claimed and the trail will have gone cold.

Bloody hell, that's terrible. One question someone may be able to answer: Is the 'new owner' really the new owner? They may have legitimately paid Full Throttle for the bike but have Full Throttle legally sold the bike? Did June sign an agreement for them to sell the bike on her behalf?

No they aren’t a friend of mine purchased an XR3i once they kept it for about 10 months when a police man came along checked the chassis (which had been welded in) she had all the documents for the car, they took it off her and she never saw it again, she paid a couple of grand for it which was a lot of money 15 or so years ago!!

Put simply sound legal advice would be needed. Good Title ie ownership is a minefield. The case UK Kid puts is not straightforward. The vechicle was not in a legal state. The purchaser of this bike might have a much stronger claim to ownership on the grounds of acting in good faith. eg. legal vehicle, dealer and documents. Hence the need for sound legal advice. It's a bloody mess for all concerned.

I EDITED MY ORIGINAL POST ALONG WITH HIS NAME WHEN I REALISED I CAME ACROSS QUITE SLANDEROUS. I HEARD LOCALLY TODAY THAT HE HAS JUST DISAPPEARED WITH THE TAKINGS SO I CONCIDER MYSELF JUSTIFIED IN TRYING TO HELP A FRIEND.
