Re: squires cafe

Chromer and I were there yesterday at about 4.30pm for an hour. Usually end our rides there but can't be doing with just sitting there all day.

Whereabouts are you based?

Re: squires cafe

The road from the bridge at the side of Squires into Sherburn is closed from today for the next three weeks, (dont know what for) so you can only get to the caff from the old A1 side.

Kev.

Re: squires cafe

I was out real early on Sunday - had to be back pm. Then later after my chores, as it was so nice at 5.30pm thought I'd nip out to Squires for a blast.

I forgot how quick it gets dark now and by the time I got there it was dusky and by the time I finished my Horlicks it was pitch black.

Luckily the Sportster has a great headlight so I didn't have to worry about the lanes on the way home (joke......... just like the headlight).

Did notice the sign about road closure, though, and wondered what that was about.

Can't see why it would take them three weeks to spray it with tar and throw loose gravel on like they seem to have done all around there - tw@ts!

Won't be there on Weds as it is forecast to be pretty wet - but will look out for you next time and say hello. I am on black anniversary sportster.

Re: squires cafe

Wot no Lee?
As it was OK this am I took the bike to work today and set out nice and early to come via Squires, aiming to say Hi.
Then at Aberford I remembered the road was closed so went via Towton and Rhyther to Cawood, and gave the village and the caff a miss.
Maybe next time..........
