Weather is forecast dry and sunny but a bit cool
Fancy a ride up onto the ny moors and onto saltburn and around back to york via stokesley and helmesley.

Err no, that's two!

Anyway once Swinny got his bike started (Optimates are useless unless you attach them to the battery and switch them on) and his Missus Pam had made us a cuppa, we had a very pleasant run up through Pickering and Hutton le Hole to Blakey Ridge (highest pub on North Yorkshire Moors) - a quick pint and a pee and off we went to Saltburn by the Sea.

There was a load of aging hippies (where is Charles by the way?) on the beach banging drums and wailing - doped out of their heads on something. A tray of chips and curry sauce then off we go to Stokesley (quick pee stop - I think I have a problem!) then a ride through Hutton Rudby, Carlton in Cleveland and up Carlton Bank to Chop Gate (pronounced Chop Yatt) before a fast blast to Helmsley.

A cup of hot (luke warm) chocolate in Helmsley and back to York through Gilling, Stillington and Sutton on the Forest.

A lovely sunny, if slightly freezing, ride.

Cheers Neil - good day out.

Sounds good

Me & Anne took a ride to St.Leger's and met Nattypants for a cuppa

Then saw Maggars old bike.

Guy came riding up & Anne said ooh look there's Maggar.
we said no he's way too skinny

bike still looks fab tho'

I'm glad I didn't see it! I would probably have tried to buy it back
