Very true Si. Can't help thinking that John Davey's attitude wouldn't have won him many points with either the MoCo or HOG, but as you say at least he knew exactly what he was selling.

This move has been promised since the day they took over - the Leeds shop is part of the group that owns the Manchester and Doncaster HD Delaerships too. I did hear a murmur about them having something to do with Newcastle but don't know if this is true.

yep that's them as well

Re: New Harley shop in Leeds

Last day at the old shop today and there's a handful of bargains to be had before 5pm. I was passing yesterday and got a couple of items I would have had to pay double to get. They've got DVDs with the history of the Shipley rally for a fiver. Haven't watched it yet so I can't say if it's any good, though.

Yes they have, about two months ago and things don't look good, give them some time though.

Re: New Harley shop in Leeds

Eddy left long ago and Summer Retail took over a long time ago. The new owner has recognised (long time overdue but hey it was Eddie) that serving the Airedale clan was required. The new store looks great and have received a great deal on new 09 Night Rod, and Hailey did wonders for our new Leathers (wife an'all)

Re: New Harley shop in Leeds

Thought the new shop opened on Saturday?

Anyone going down there?

(Rumour has it the reason Eddie sold the business was that HD-UK were putting pressure on him to move and he didn't want to cos he owned the old building! - on another note his Honda dealership next door to the old shop seems to have closed?)
