2005 883 Sporty:

Hey - I am sorry if this is a repeat, but I'll get straight to a known solution.

My girlfriend's Sportster would not start at all this past Saturday. It was turning over fine. I didn't have a meter to check battery voltage, but I assumed it was OK because the bike was turning over.

After trying several times while checking for spark, etc, it started turning slower. I connected the battery charger and tried one more time after about 10 minutes of charging and it started right up.

Take away for me... these bikes bust be sensitive to low battery voltage and turn off the spark. I assume this also means they can't be push-started if the battery is dead.
