    West country region visit

Had an email from Neil Harris tonight confirming that Region 14 are using our Region meet on Sunday as their ride out destination, weather permitting. Hopefully the weather will be kind enough to hold the meet outside as it could get somewhat crammed otherwise.
A ride afterwards to show them some lesser known roads. What do you think?

Could we arrange for the side gate to be open which will let bikes park alongside the grass? The car park is busy at the best of times!

I'm not sure if the gate is locked or just shut?

    Re: West country region visit

You guys have all the rides. I'm flipping through one thread after another of y'all meeting up and riding. Whew. Sometimes makes me wish I was over there.

It is not the same over here. Another HD forum has meet ups, but like 1100 miles away.
I don't know I used to do stuff like that. These days even though retired I don't have any time. My son and I will be in the Smokies the end of April with one of his friends.
So I thought I would create a thread at that time and show y'all some of whats over here. It won't be professional, just shooting off the camera phone.
Anyways y'all ride safe. Wish I was there.

    Re: West country region visit

Just like to say thanks to the boys and girls of Region 7 for making us feel very welcome when visiting you at the Rising Sun today. Also thanks to Barrie for leading us to the Steel Horse Cafe over a mountain road with the most spectacular views.
We certainly picked a great day for the weather, it couldn't have been better.

    Thanks people

Very well said Neil. It was great to see over 22 motorcycles in the beer garden car park yesterday. Lots of Harley-Davidsons and riders from all over South Wales and a good number from over the bridge. Welcome to Region 7 members from down west too - Andy, Hywel and Phil.

A couple of combinations and the odd Triumph made for some good photos too.

The short rideout was good as well - and a fine venue to finish at the Ironhorse cafe.

Region 7 rally next - see you there, and let's hope the weather is as good as it was yesterday.
