    I did 75,000 miles on a crankcase breather Evo with the open vent hose pointed to ground without one of those silly chrome filters on the end. Never had an issue. Never read of an issue and tens of thousands of riders would still be running such a set-up. Not to mention Shovelhead primary venting. Not you Andy, but I kinda surmise that some people are guessing a problem that will not arise.....

    Ah but leaving the pipe end open can leave you at risk from these....
