Rideout 13th May and other bits and pieces.

As discussed at the excellent meeting in the beer garden of the Rising Sun earlier we are going to have a return visit to Pendine Sands on Sunday 13th.

The plan is to rendezvous at B&Q in Carmarthen (big car park) at 11.15am

For those travelling from Cardiff area - depart 10.15 from the petrol station at Junction 33 on the M4. Roger will be there.
For those from the north depart from Llandovery car park opposite the West End cafe at 10.30. Barrie will be there.

Thanks to those who came to the meeting today, it was good to have a big turnout and welcome to the guys from West Wales. It was good to know you enjoyed the rally too.

Finally thanks to those who rode up to Talgarth to assist with putting away the dry canvas after the meeting today.

    See you Sunday.

That's part of the plan Peter, we went last year and it was good (long walk on the sand) but plenty of options for parking / teas and coffee / beer and ice cream. The pub is full of memorabilia too.

Hopefully see you Sunday - it was good to meet you at Llandovery.

I'll be leaving Llandysul about 10.15 unless anyone travelling from Llandovery wants to meet somewhere before? Bearing in mind that Llandovery is in the opposite direction!

Well that was a great success. Fifteen motorcycles of which thirteen were Harley-Davidson's. Fifteen riders of which fourteen were club members. Excellent weather, some twisty roads on the alternative run in to Pendine, a long walk on the beach, the world's fastest shed, excellent double cheese burgers, nice pot of tea on return and a blast back to various points across South and West Wales before the Sunday roast. Thanks to all who came along.

I'd thinks you would have to be a salt fanatic to want to take anything onto the beach unless you were seriously competing.

By the way is it a 400 single?
