    Side stand spring

Last night the drag specialties spring I fitted broke

Having a look this morning it seems that the hook bit wasn't hooked enough and straightened it self out as the bike sits on it.

So this morning I've reshaped the hooks and refitted it. I'm not expecting it to last but I've ordered a new one from the MoCo.

Looking at the pictures it seems that the H-D one has longer hooks so it pivots on the bend of the hook rather than the end of the hook, if you see what I mean
    Anyways onwards

There are many springs out there Paul, some with full loops on the ends - but it is a bit of a pain trying to match one up.

If an end on the one you fitted straightened out I'd say the manufacture was diffy (hardening ?). Like you say it has now deformed and it will surely do it again. It may even have 'work hardened' in straightening and you reshaping it back and so may break off.

Be careful mate while your new one arrives.

That's exactly what I did Baza

Thanks tom yes the spring looked that. When I had it in my grubby mitts this morning the ends were at 90 degree almost

I'll post a pic of the H-D one when it arrives
