    Quick Q on MOT

    Hi folks, just a quikkie on MOT, if your neutral light isnt illuminating/working...would that be a fail?

    People who are far wiser than me on MoT will likely respond but I have a feeling that "idiot lights" were being proposed last year to be incorporated into test and challenges were beginning - but hadn't been included yet. I dread to think what the future holds for the test, imagine what folks from fifty years back would say about the current one.

    If you cover it with a bit of electrical tape, technically if the tester can't see whether it's faulty he can't fail it, so I have been told.

    yeah..think i might go for the (blank out the light route) its not he bulb as i did the earth test to the frame and the bulb lit, the switch looks like a bitch to get to.

    When i did MOT's it was, if it's there it had to work.
