    Question Fat Bob insurance

    Hi all.

I currently have a Sportster 1200 and is costing £177 for the year, with Bikesure.

Hopefully picking up a Fat Bob on Monday and they want just shy of £500. Is this amount normal for a Fat Bob 2018? Seemed quite high to me. ( Bike is garaged, 3k miles, 3 years NCB, and I’m over 50!)

    Cheers for any info chaps.

Sounds like a lot to me.

I just changed from a dyna low rider to a softail street bob about a month ago and the insurance (Carol Nash) was actually less.
I remember that when I changed from an 883 sportster to the 1690 dyna low rider the increase was about £100.

It probably comes down to where you live etc. but I think you need to shop around.

There are so many variables nowadays that alter prices it's difficult to know what any other person might have to pay. I always do a 'Compare the Meekat ' before I ring round. It gives me an idea of prices.

Sounds a bit dear to me, I've just paid £147.90 through Hastings for fully comp on my Fatbob.

    Taking the piss that is.
I pay less than that, and i live in south london.
Bike chained up in street. I would try HD insurance through carol nash when you renew.

And Carole Nash direct. It's always cheaper for me if I don't go through HD for some reason. Samre cover.
