    Try boz. Google powerglides.
    Hes closest to london.
Or pm dazzlin. Im sure he used someone down south.
Better still, take it to alex. Bit of a distance from you, but well worth it for the top notch service.

I am inclined to agree with Tim - take it to Alex if you can. Otherwise, try this link at Dynojet. You can filter for dynos or Dynojet approved - I'm in London and I used SDC in Stevenage.

    Rod.
if I had the dosh I’d book it in for a power package and tune up with Alex but unfortunately (and I find this very strange) the wife seems a tad upset and overly emotional with the idea..go figure.

ill try SDC for a price. Thanks Rod.

Finally got hold of a Dyno stage one kit. Fitted it in 15 mins and went out and thrashed her. A lot better. I’m a bit embarrassed tbh as I always thought it was just money grabbing that all the shops say buy the kit or your gonna have trouble. Had a huge chat with warr’s Who were very helpful, even without a possible sale.
may change the main if I can be bothered to see if I can get more but it’s there or there about straight outta the box.
thanks everyone for recommendations and advice. She,s well and grooving!

seems you can get a run or two for around £150 give or take so may book her in if I feel there’s a little more to be had.

Re: Carb jetting & such & so forth

Stage one kit recommends, after modifying the slide, fitting there spring and needle and fitting new emulsion tube, to use there 45 idle jet (which feels about right) fitting the E clip to 4th groove down from the top, and there 160 main for after market air box/ filter and mufflers.
i went from the get go to the 170 main supplied. Which was, on inspection of a 4000 revs and above plug test run boarder line weak. And felt flat above 4000 revs, demanding I haul on the throttle to get a response in mph. So I’ve just installed the largest main supplied 180 and it now goes like a bat outta hell and scares me to death at its get up and go from 3000 to the red line.
so all good there then (if that’s your kinda thing of coarse, me I like to know it’s there if/when I want it).
2000 to 3000 revs could be improved. Runs a bit like the power is very slightly being turned of an on again at steady throttle and all round lacks punch unless I’m powering through it.
so eighter to rich or lean. Will lift the needle up or if the mood takes me, down next weekend and see if it smooths out or get worse. Should be an easy fix.
Curtainly feels like I’m going to get there so I’m happier theni was on 1st posting. Thanks to this kit.
be fun to see how good I can get it then take her in for a Dyno run to see how close (or not ) it is to correct AFR.
Fun learning stuff once you get through the hair pulling, toys outta pram stage lol.
oh and not a decl pop in sight. Yay. Cobra 3 inchers ftw.
