    Question Cut out on overrun??,

My 07 CVO Roadking cut out the other week just as I rolled off the throttle, I was giving it a bit of a fistful but as I shut off to slow down the bike cut out. It was completely dead, I pulled the clutch in and hit the starter and....nothing.
I pulled over, not that I had a choice of carrying on, and the bike fired right up. It was perfectly fine after that.
The bike has shown no other faults, and has a brand new battery on it. I’m happy that isn’t the issue.

    Any ideas?

Hi, yes the terminals are tight and it hasn’t done it since. I really need to give it a good ride, but would prefer to troubleshoot it instead of breaking down on it.

    Re: Cut out on overrun??,

There's plenty of similar issues if you Google - Road King Cutting Out. This might help, it seems to be fairly common. However, the problems vary and so do the solutions.

Thanks, appreciate that. It’s somewhere to start anyway.

    Re: Cut out on overrun??,

This might not be much use but - I've got a 2006 Softail Classic, fitted with V & H slip ons, which does the same thing. When I put the standard exhaust mufflers back on the problem disappears. which makes me think the straight thru V & H's are affecting either the timing or the fuel injection, or both.
