    Pat Simmons and his 65 Panhead

    Patrick Simmons (born October 19, 1948) is an American musician best known as a founding member of the rock band The Doobie Brothers. Born in Aberdeen, Washington, he has been the only consistent member of the band throughout their tenure.
    Years active: 1970–present.

    Yeah saw them at the 100th celebration in Milwaukee 16yrs ago and they gave quite a bit of stage banter about how they all rode. They were still good too! I even have a secret admiration for the Michael McDonald era of the late 1970s now, after loathing that all through my punk rock decade. ''Takin' It To the Streets'' is quite a jam....if not a patch on their earlier hard rock era.
