time to itch the winter scratch......New Evo build

well its that time of year! as always i got myself sorted a couple of months ago with a donor bike, this time im going a bit more modern than the last few builds, got myself a 92 EVO softail that someone had started but never finished

this is as it came when i picked it up in Wales in August. Mike trying out the bent handlebars they had been cut and then welded back together for some reason, but were not in line!

on closer inspection the frame was home made that was very badly put together and was out of shape everywhere, the headstock was not straight and the welding was atrocious, which was fine as i wasnt intending on using it anyway, it ended up going to the scrap heap as it was IMO unsafe...

Ordered a frame from Briz at CCD as soon as i got the bike and picked it up on sunday, stock dimensions, 0 stretch with 30 degrees rake, few classic touches to the axle plates etc and running a stock shovel width rear end with a 5 speed box.

got it home and quickly chucked all the parts i had laying around the garage in to tidy the garage up more than anything else!

waiting on a front wheel and tyres front and rear to get it on the floor and have a proper look at it. im running with the stock 5 speed, inner primary and electric start on this one for a change, i did however indulge in a very nice EMD Panhead style outer primary though.

more updates to come as they happen!

By the way, just have to say - scrapping an unsafe frame you paid for rather than passing on the problem = integrity.
