    Would this fit an '89 Softail..?

    Physically, it may; but wasn't there some sort of modification early in the Evo's lifespan to the head breathing?

    There was, Kev, but not until late 92, which in the LOWER rocker box assembly meant space for umbrella valves - just another attempt to stop misting and sumping.

    I reckon that top cover would fit any Evo. Certainly Dave's, as it is a part for a crankcase breather bike, which Dave has.
