    Panhead scam ad

This one's just too obvious - I imagine many have already had a laugh at this (if I'm a bit late with this please delete!)

    Re: Panhead scam ad

I had this out with eBay yesterday, having already reported the scrote last week, and finding he still had over 1000 items for sale, all with identical spiel and a starting price of £1. OK, so they take them down, but it's not up to us to Police their platform... Here's 15 minutes of my time wasted, as I'm sure they'll do feck all about it...

24498877jessica seller clearly has been hijacked. They have hundreds of items for £1.00, all with exactly the same story. I reported this last week, so why are they still being allowed to list?

    Hello Jake
    09:41:43 UTC Vineet
I certainly understand your point about the scam seller's account "24498877jessica "
    09:41:46 UTC hogfather88
    Hi
    09:42:07 UTC Vineet
Please be assured that we have checked this account and can assure you that their listings are in breach
    09:42:23 UTC Vineet
We have already forwarded this seller's details to our policy expert team.
    09:42:23 UTC hogfather88
I don't understand why they are being allowed to continue listing. It's clearly fraud
    09:42:41 UTC Vineet
They will take care of this fraudulent account and their fake listings.
    09:43:03 UTC hogfather88
Unfortunately, I can't remember if the seller name is the same as reported last week, but the description is identical
    09:43:45 UTC hogfather88
OK, but how can you stop them setting up another fake account?
    09:44:11 UTC Vineet
In such case our team will take down all the scam listings from the site at a time.
    09:44:23 UTC Vineet
Such listings will create bad buying experience on the site.
    09:44:54 UTC hogfather88
Exactly - it's happening every day now....
    09:45:55 UTC Vineet
Please don't worry, your report will not be ignored.
    09:45:59 UTC hogfather88
I hope eBay can do much more to prevent this kind of thing. It's certainly reduced my confidence in the platform. I shouldn't have to report: eBay should be policing their own platform in my view
    09:46:08 UTC Vineet
Even its our top priority to keep our site more safe and reputable place for buying and selling.
    09:46:24 UTC Vineet
Our team will take appropriate action on this seller's account
    09:46:31 UTC hogfather88
It may be Vineet, but it's clearly not working
    09:47:17 UTC Vineet
I certainly understand your situation. Occasional our team may take time in taking reports (considering the volume of reports they receive).
    09:48:24 UTC hogfather88
Yes, I understand, but you can't rely on your customers to police your platform. eBay needs to do much more, otherwise people just won't want to use the platform any more
    09:48:49 UTC Vineet
Yes, we are not denying what you are saying.
    09:49:08 UTC Vineet
We will take care of this account's listings on the highest priority.
    09:50:09 UTC hogfather88
OK Vineet; but please elevate this. You know and I know that this criminal will be back with another fake account, tomorrow, or next week....
    09:50:26 UTC Vineet
    Sure, I will
    09:50:36 UTC Vineet
We certainly understand the importance of this issue, Jake

Well done for making the effort. I wish Ebay would do the same.
