    Heated Gloves?

Rather than fit heated grips for winter I'm looking at battery powered heated gloves: Gebring XRL, RST Paragon or Racer Heat 4. Any advice, recommendations or warnings appreciated.

    Re: Heated Gloves?

I got some Oxford about 5 years ago, brilliant piece of kit, about £65.

But they are hard wired, but I only put the battery wire (2 connectors) on during winter, and remove it in the spring.

I think battery ones would cost a fortune in cells.

    Re: Heated Gloves?

I know this is not info on heated gloves but seems like a good moment to mention an alternative to the classic silk white inner gloves. There are light cotton gloves called cosmetic gloves which are supposed to be for posh women who have had their hands and nails done for an event, to wear while they do the last tasks etc - probably best found in older style shops or department stores. I found them much better than the silk ones, longer lasting and warmer and quite low cost.

    Re: Heated Gloves?

I had heated gloves a few years ago. Good till they die :( Bought a set of handle bar muffs, not the prettiest on the but damn my hands were toasty Good thing is no batteries and you just slip them off in the spring. I recently bought a pair of gloves off of amazon and they are superb and only £18.99. I ride 13 miles to work, yesterday it was -2 and my hands were fine

    Re: Heated Gloves?

I use KEIS heated vest with battery pack which is excellent.

They have just released battery powered gloves and if they are as good as the vest it's a very safe bet - https://www.keisapparel.co.uk/produc...eated-insoles/

Incidentally, I currently have AlpineStar heated gloves and converted to Harley heated grips, which are very good.

Gebring are good as long as you don't use the top setting and mine are rechargeable batteries.

    Re: Heated Gloves?

Ive got the Keis heated vest & just bought the inner gloves - can move between bikes.
They are great - you don't feel much heat but they do stop your hands getting cold - all over.
Found with heated grips that the back of my hands and thumb still got cold.
You can wear whatever gloves you want over them and just replace these after a few years if they stop being waterproof - you need to buy a size oor 2 up though to get over the inner gloves.
Someone at work has a pair of Oxford heated overgrips - go over your existing grips with velcro.

My Gebrings with rechargable batteries are warm enough but way too stiff and bulky. I used to use muffs - they look bad but work a treat and don't affect feel of the 'bars.
