    Oxford Folks

Anyone in the oxford area. I see a few harleys around, and to be honest quite bored and riding out on my own...... (like today again :( ) This time of the year its kind of limited when good ole mother nature gives us days like this

    Re: Oxford Folks

Hi Marc, I ride mostly on my own, too, and I'm used to it, so I don't mind the solitude at all. I'm an hour's ride from Oxford. During 2019, I made several trips from Newbury to Wantage along the B4494 (a lovely ride), with free bike parking in the square in Wantage while I checked out the cafes. I've also made several rides to The H Cafe, Berinsfield, which is a proper, traditional biker cafe destination, open all year round. There are usually plenty of different makes of bike in the car park to check out. The H Cafe offers an 'average' Greasy Spoon experience but, at the end of the day, it's all about the journey and having somewhere to ride to.

    Marc

You are listed as Region 13 who are well established, have you been to any meetings? They also have a FB page.

Rob Kelley is the Rep, a great set of lads and lasses (even if they are Southerners).

Get to a few meetings, I'm sure there will be something going on.

Mind you having just looked at the map, it looks like Oxford could do with a meeting ........ any takers.

    Cheers
    Paul

I see the notices for the meetings but by the time I get home from work a ride to MK is not very appealing, I get up at 4 am everyday for work so am pretty tired during the week. Weekends are great though, just wish they were a lot longer lol
