Drovers Rally - Cancellation confirmed.

After much discussion it is with regret and a heavy heart that I have this morning confirmed to all involved the cancellation of the Drovers Rally at Llandovery next month.

It has been a very difficult weekend but I know that the right decision has been made and in as much time as possible to minimise disruption for all concerned.

We are living in unprecedented times and things are changing, not for the better, on a daily basis.

Thank you all, thank you to the rally committee for listening and talking to me me over the weekend.

Hopefully normality will return in the not too distant future.

Gutted about this one, was looking forward to my first Drovers. As above, plus if there's any money lost I'm in to donate. Must have been a tough decision, but fully understand.

Doesnt the club help out in such circumstances, if the region cant cover costs? Also prepared to chip in if required.

If the Region is unable to cover costs, and an official approach was made to the Club, it would be treated sympathetically.

The only official provision is a £300 grant which is repayable if a profit is made.

I also can only echo what's already been said in support of this difficult decision. I am absolutely gutted, such a much loved seasonal rally opener.

Region 7 do not have a significant financial loss from this cancellation. We are in the happy position of having run enough rallies to cover most eventualities that may occur so I dont think it will be necessary to draw on the Clubs money pot this time.

What a time we are all having. At least for now all I’ve got to worry about, missing a few rallies but staying alive for the future parties.
