    Remembrance Bikers Wreath

For those who may be interested I made a solo ride to Shoreham Airport today to view the Bikers Wreath and paid respect on behalf of the Coasters who normally join the ride.

I wonder if the cops, having stopped someone during lockdown, would let them go if they were heading there for that purpose..? (I'd like to think yes)

    Re: Remembrance Bikers Wreath

There was a government exemption for remembrance services. Our local ride of respect was given the go-ahead with risk assessments track and trace accepted etc. However the police tried to stop it at the last minute, saying that while the ride itself was legal, the gathering to sign in etc beforehand was not. This stopped a lot of people attending, however a lot went anyway and a friend of mine who happened to leave her top box full of poppies open with a collection pot beside them made a tidy sum for the Royal British Legion Riders Branch too. Lest we forget.

Remembrance Sunday is sacred in my eyes and stopping anyone showing respect is an outrage! This is no longer about a virus that threatens 1% of society, it's about control of the 99% and needs to be continually challenged - this is not the New Norm!

Ditto Nod. Pauline and I represented New Forest at the Portsmouth War memorial at Southsea Common to lay a wreath.
